BallenIsles Charities Foundation Funds New 40-foot Refrigerated Truck for FEED THE HUNGRY PANTRY of PBC

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. Dec 14 – BallenIsles residents, Palm Beach Gardens Mayor Maria Marino, other invitees from PBG City Government and corporate sponsors today celebrated a momentous grant project from the BallenIsles Charities Foundation at the new BallenIsles Clubhouse in Palm Beach Gardens.

The Foundation has funded, through a multi-year financial grant, a new 40-foot refrigerated truck for Feed the Hungry Pantry of PBC (images attached). It will help that organization’s efforts in providing more than one million pounds of fresh meats, poultry, fish, fruits and vegetables each year to thousands of families residing in Palm Beach County, who might otherwise go hungry.

“At this time of year when families are gathering around the table to celebrate the holidays, this signature project with Feed the Hungry Pantry will positively impact the lives of thousands of food insecure families in the surrounding communities,” BallenIsles Charities Foundation President Mark Freeman said. Thanks to the generosity and the support of BallenIsles residents and corporate sponsors, the BallenIsles Charities Foundation  has awarded $2,300,000 over the past seven years to local non-profits and civic organizations, including $575,000 in 2018 alone.

The truck dedication ceremony toasted the good work being done by Feed the Hungry and the important milestone in the Foundation’s mission to make a difference. Feed The Hungry CEO Dan Shorter also addressed the gathering before the truck was parked just below the new Clubhouse Grand Terrace overlooking BallenIsles famed East Course where legendary players like Jack Nicklaus, Julius Boros and Sam Snead won PGA Championships.

“This further underlines the caring community that is BallenIsles and will significantly improve our efforts to collect food from farmers, supermarkets and food wholesalers throughout Palm Beach County and each month provide food to over 2000 families in need,” Mr Shorter said.
