Press Release

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. Dec 11
BallenIsles, the prestigious country club managed by Troon Golf and highly regarded for its 3 storied golf courses where many golf legends originally qualified for the PGA Tour, has re-launched a newly designed North Golf Course. This includes a BallenIsles Short Course integrated into the redesign.

VIP guests attending the Grand Re-opening included Dana Garmany, Troon Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and Allan Kournikova, Junior Golfer, U.S. Kids Golf Champion and European Champion. Kournikova is featured in the new golf documentary “The Short Game,” which chronicles eight 7 and 8-year olds as they prepared for and played in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships.

David Leadbetter, golf instructor to countless PGA Tour, European PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour players, whose innovative and creative teaching techniques earned him the ranking by Golf Digest as the World’s #1 Golf Instructor, hosted a mini clinic for Members.

The grand opening on December 11, 2013 unveiled a more than $5 million redesign by golf course Architect Kipp Schulties that delivers 18 holes of golf that are challenging and rewarding to all handicap levels, against the pristine backdrop that is BallenIsles. It includes a short (executive) course that can be played quickly, answering the increasing demand for a shorter game where Members can play a full game and still be in time for other commitments.

Whether it’s the $9 million redesigned East Course by award winning golf course architect Keith Foster, the South Course, redesigned by Gene Bates, or the North Course, originally designed by Joe Lee and now newly redesigned by Kipp Schulties, members enjoy the exceptional choice of playing at three distinct courses at BallenIsles. Each is rich with history of championships by Jack Nicklaus and Julius Boros, and where many golf legends like Arnold Palmer originally qualified for the PGA Tour.
BallenIsles has also heralded a new standard of wellness and fitness with its $26 million state-of-the-art Sports Complex that is testimony to the Club’s extraordinary commitment to a healthy member lifestyle. Out of nearly 200 Clubs managed worldwide by Troon Golf, BallenIsles has been awarded the distinction “Facility of the Year”. For more information visit www.BallenIsles.org.
